Why does the US enforce such harsh online poker regulations?

I’m frustrated with strict US online poker rules while other gambling types flourish. I question these outdated policies and seek opinions from fellow players.

i think it’s more about control and reducing fraud risks than poker itself. gov checks online gambling to curb moneylaundering and other probs, even if it seems overkill to us. not surprised they stick with it despite questions of fairness.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give my two cents. I believe the whole thing boils down to trust issues and political influence. The authorities seem to fear that if things are too open, it might pave the way for shady dealings, so they put up a lot of barriers, even if it means inconveniencing players like us. At the end of the day, though, it also shows a kind of caution – they’re trying to protect the industry from being taken over by rogue elements, even if it looks like they’re throwing a wrench in fun. Just my take on it. Cheers!
