Hey guys, I’m feeling pretty down right now. Last night I made a huge mistake and lost 200,000 yen playing poker. It was supposed to be a fun night out with friends, but things got out of hand fast. I kept chasing my losses and before I knew it, my bankroll was gone. I’m beating myself up over this. Has anyone else been through something similar? How did you deal with the guilt and financial stress? I’m worried about telling my family and not sure how to move forward from here. Any advice on coping with a big gambling loss would be really appreciated. Thanks for listening.
Oh man, I feel for you. That’s a rough night, no doubt about it.
I’ve been there before, though not quite to that extent. Lost a month’s rent once and felt like the world was ending. It’s totally normal to feel guilty and stressed right now.
First thing - take a deep breath. What’s done is done, beating yourself up won’t change it. Focus on moving forward.
Have you thought about talking to a counselor? They can help you work through the emotions and develop healthier coping strategies. Might be worth looking into some gambling support groups too.
As for family, honesty is usually the best policy. They might be upset at first, but having their support will make a big difference. Maybe approach the one you’re closest to first?
Hang in there, buddy. This feeling won’t last forever. Take it one day at a time and be kind to yourself. You’ve got this!
been there bro, its rough. dont beat yourself up tho, we all make mistakes. maybe try talkin to someone you trust? helped me when i lost big. also, consider takin a break from gamblin for a while. focus on other stuff to clear ur head. hang in there man, itll get better
