Multimillionaire lottery winner: 9 months later, Q&A session

Hey everyone! About 9 months ago I hit the jackpot and won around 7 million bucks in the lottery. I did a Q&A session before and people seemed to like it. So I figured why not do another one?

I’m stuck at the airport with some time to kill, so I thought this would be a fun way to pass the time. Feel free to ask me anything about life as a new millionaire, how things have changed, or whatever you’re curious about!

I’m happy to share my experiences and answer your questions. It’s been quite a ride so far! Fire away with your questions and I’ll do my best to give you honest answers.

Hey there! Thanks for the Q&A, it’s really cool of you to share your experience.

So, I gotta ask - have you done anything totally wild and crazy with the money yet? Like, I dunno, buy a pet giraffe or rent out Disneyland for a day? :joy:

I’m always curious what people do when they suddenly have ‘fun money’ to burn. But also, has the novelty of being rich worn off at all? Or do you still wake up some days and think ‘holy crap, I’m a millionaire!’?

Anyway, hope your airport wait isn’t too brutal. At least you can chill in those fancy lounges now, right?

hey there! haha no pet giraffes for me yet. still feels kinda surreal tbh. splurged on a sweet vacation home tho, that was pretty wild. airport lounges r nice but delayed flights still suck lol. trying to stay grounded and not go too crazy with the $$$. its been a trip for sure!

Congrats on your windfall! I’m curious how your relationships have changed since winning. Have old friends or family members started treating you differently or asking for money? It must be tricky navigating those waters. Also, what’s been the most surprising aspect of suddenly having that much wealth? I imagine there are a lot of unexpected challenges that come with it. kudos for doing these Q&As - it’s fascinating to get a peek into that world. Hope you’re enjoying your newfound financial freedom, even if airport delays still suck for everyone!
