Holding a hand of four 10s in poker: strategy advice needed

Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a pickle here. I’m playing poker and I’ve got four 10s in my hand. It’s a great hand, but I’m not sure how to play it without giving away that I’ve got something good. I don’t want to bluff because, well, I don’t need to! But I also don’t want to make it obvious that I’m sitting on a killer hand. Any tips on how to play this without tipping off the other players? I’m especially worried about the more experienced guys at the table who might pick up on subtle tells. Help a newbie out!

holding four 10s is indeed a powerful hand, but the key is to maximize value without raising suspicion. consider your position at the table and the tendencies of your opponents. if you’re in early position, a standard raise might be appropriate. however, if you’re in late position and there’s already action, you could mix it up with a call to keep more players in the pot. as the hand progresses, gradually increase your bets to build the pot. be mindful of your body language and breathing – experienced players can pick up on subtle changes. remember, your goal is to extract maximum value while maintaining an air of uncertainty about your hand strength. good luck and play smart!

Hey Zoe67, congrats on that sweet hand! :tada: Four 10s is definitely something to get excited about. Here’s my two cents: try to act as natural as possible. Don’t suddenly change your betting pattern or start fidgeting more than usual. Maybe throw in a casual comment about the weather or something totally unrelated to keep things chill.

If you’re first to act, a standard raise is fine - nothing too crazy that’ll scare everyone off. If someone else raises before you, consider just calling to keep more players in. The real fun starts on the later streets when you can start building that pot!

Just remember, poker face on and breathe normally. You got this! And hey, win or lose, at least you’ll have a cool story to tell us later. Good luck! :four_leaf_clover:

yo zoe, sweet hand! Don’t go crazy n give it away tho. play it cool like its any other hand. maybe toss in a lil bet, nothin wild. if someone raises, think bout just callin to keep more peeps in. build that pot slow n steady. n whatever u do, dont get all fidgety or start grinnin like a fool. gl!
