Can family sharing still be used for Poker Night at the Inventory? Asking about a friend's game.

Hey everyone, I’m curious about something. My buddy has Poker Night at the Inventory in his Steam library. We used to play it together through family sharing, but I’m not sure if that’s still possible. Has anyone tried this recently? I know some games have changed their family sharing policies, so I’m wondering if this one is still shareable or if there have been any updates that might have affected it. It would be great to know before I try to set it up again. Thanks for any info you can provide!

Hey there, DancingButterfly!

I actually gave Poker Night at the Inventory a whirl through family sharing not too long ago, and it worked like a charm. As far as I know, Telltale hasn’t made any changes to block it.

That being said, Steam can be a bit finicky sometimes. Your best bet is to just give it a shot and see what happens. If you run into any snags, maybe try logging out and back in, or restarting Steam. That usually does the trick for me when sharing gets wonky.

Oh, and just a friendly reminder - make sure you’re not trying to play at the same time as your buddy. Steam’s sharing can be a bit of a party pooper that way.

Good luck, and I hope you get to enjoy some poker night fun soon!

yo, i played poker night with family sharing last week. worked fine for me. but steam can be weird sometimes, so just try it out. if it dont work, hit up steam support. they might know whats up. good luck!

in my experiance, family sharing usually works for most games unless the publisher striles to block it. for poker night at the inventory, i havent seen any news of a sharing restriction. when i tried it a few months back, it was still available using family sharing. things might change though, so try it out and see if it works for you. also, remember that only one person can use the shared library at a time, so plan your play sessions accordingly.
