Who'd excel at poker among fictional characters?

Hey everyone! I’ve been thinking about something fun lately. What if we took characters from books, movies, or TV shows and imagined how they’d do in a poker game? I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this.

Which characters do you think would be amazing at poker? Maybe someone with a great poker face, or a character known for their strategic thinking? And who do you think would be terrible at it?

I thought it might be cool to make a list ranking different characters based on their potential poker skills. It could be interesting to see how their personalities and abilities might translate to the poker table.

What do you all think? Any characters come to mind right away? Let’s get a discussion going!

Oh man, Tony Soprano would be an absolute beast at the poker table! :sunglasses:

Think about it - the guy’s spent years running a mob empire, always having to stay one step ahead and keep his cool under pressure. He’d probably walk into that casino like he owns the joint, intimidating everyone before the cards are even dealt.

I can just picture him sitting there, cigar in hand, reading everyone’s tells like it’s nothing. And good luck trying to bluff Tony - he’s dealt with liars and backstabbers his whole life.

Plus, you know he’d have no problem going all in when it counts. High stakes? Pffft, that’s just a normal Tuesday for Tony.

The only downside? He might get a bit hot-headed if things don’t go his way. But hey, that’s part of what makes Tony, Tony. Win or lose, it’d be one hell of a game to watch!

lol sherlock holmes would totally crush it at poker. he can read ppl like open books, figuring out tells in seconds. plus, his insane brain for strategy would let him clean out the table before anyone noticed.

I’d say hannibal lecter would be a formidable poker player. His keen intellect and ability to manipulate others would give him a serious edge. He’s a master at reading people and staying calm under pressure, which are crucial skills at the poker table. Plus, his refined taste might add an air of sophistication to the game.

Lecter’s analytical mind would help him calculate odds and make strategic decisions quickly. He’d likely be adept at bluffing and picking up on subtle tells from his opponents. his background in psychiatry gives him unique insight into human behavior.

The only downside might be if he got too cocky or became fixated on a particular opponent. But overall, I think lecter would be a force to be reckoned with in any high-stakes poker game.
